Roo’s goal for every credit card is simple: pay it in full each month and never carry a balance. In Roo a card lives in Payback Mode — never On Budget — and its spending reserves the cash to pay it as you swipe.

Why pay in full

When a credit card is in Payback Mode, its spending reserves cash into your Payback Pouch as you swipe — so the cash to cover the statement is already set aside. That changes everything:

• No “how much should I pay?” decision. The money is already reserved, so you can put the card on autopay for the full statement balance and forget it.
• Less decision fatigue. Set it up once, then it runs itself.
• You never pay interest. Paying the full balance every month means no carried balance — the habit that makes a credit card a tool instead of a trap.

Getting there

It’s ideal to have enough cash to cover your cards from day one. Many people don’t — and that’s fine. Either way, the card stays in Payback Mode:

1. Carrying a balance? Turn on the Payback Plan — prioritize the card, pick a strategy, and knock the balance down with your Payback Pouch.
2. Paying in full? As you swipe, your spending reserves the cash into the Payback Pouch, so each statement is already covered. Set autopay to the full balance and you’re interest-free on autopilot.
