Paced Pouches
What Paced Pouches Are
Most pouches get all of their money at once when income arrives. A paced pouch is different. It fills up a little each day as Daily Cash.
The money for your paced pouches waits in the Reservoir and is released slowly. This keeps your spending steady between paychecks, without moving money by hand or waiting for payday.
The Living Pouch Is the Main Paced Pouch
Your Living Pouch is your everyday spending pouch, and it is the main paced pouch. Its balance is your one clear number for how your spending is tracking against your plan.
Each day, Roo releases Daily Cash into your Living Pouch. You swipe your everyday purchases to it and watch the balance to stay on pace.
Pacing Other Pouches
You can pace other pouches too, for spending you want to manage steadily over time.
Common examples:
- A Fun Money pouch
- An Eating Out pouch
- Any expense you want steady, daily feedback on
When you pace more than one pouch, Roo does the work for you. Each day, your Daily Cash is automatically split and released to every paced pouch based on your plan. Your Living Pouch stays focused on daily spending, and your other paced pouches quietly stay funded in the background.
When to Pace a Pouch
Pace a pouch when you want daily feedback on that spending. Leave a pouch unpaced when you would rather it fill up and wait, like a savings goal.
